Lot 728 Eureka Bank Documents NV - Eureka, - 1896 - General Americana
Lot of 16 checks, 1 cover, 2 bank statements, 2 express bills, a bank envelope and one photograph, all related to the town of Eureka. The checks are from various area banks and bankers, including Paxton & Co. Bankers, Eureka County Bank, W.E. Griffin Banker, White Pine County Bank and The Farmer`s Merchants National Bank. One Eureka County Bank check has 3 RB27 Two Cent Revenue Stamps affixed. One Paxton and The White Pine checks, each have an R152 R14 two cent Liberty Revenue Stamp and another Paxton issued check has an RN-G1 orange Liberty Type Revenue Stamp. The Wells Fargo cover is for C.O.D. There is a Wells Fargo Way Bill dated 3 December 1909 and a Wells Fargo shipping receipt, dated 10 November 1896. There are also 2 Wells Fargo statements dated September 1880 and January 1882. The photograph is a reprinted black and white, showing the Lobster Club Band of Eureka on the main street, possibly in the 1880s. All pieces are in good to very good condition. - Maish Collection
